"The End of the Road" is a feminist film in the form of a road movie genre. The journey depicted in the film is not so much Louise's journey of revenge against the patriarchal society as it is Selma's journey of growth, from wearing a sexy long skirt, to a denim shirt afterwards, to finally taking off all the female symbols (earrings, necklaces, watches) louise style of jeans, sleeveless T-shirts; all of this is her "growth" process from a brainless housewife, to an ignorant fearless robber, to a bold fugitive.
