According to the eighty-year-old people surnamed Li, during the Tongzhi period, it was originally built by an old man from Ah Yang and his father, who ran a cake business with the name of 'Sanpin'. During the Republic of China period, the family road was sold to the Wen family to open lard, lard slag workshop; according to the neighbor Septuagenarian: the lard workshop opened for the Wen family, the name "Sanpin".

The whole house integrates the traditional doorway to form a western-style building with a gatehouse, and the façade is often extremely elaborate, magnificent to highlight the identity and status of the owner of the house. It is also a very common practice in modern Wenzhou and even the whole country, and it is a manifestation of the architectural culture of western learning and eastern learning.

During the Red Guards' Destruction of the Fourth Old Period, all the portraits of the figures on the façade were destroyed. From the remaining statues, brick carved character costumes, shapes speculate: mostly traditional theatrical characters. It also reflects the deep-rooted traditional feelings of homeowners. Traditional big house construction points: wood, stone, carving, tile, Kanyu and other craftsmen work together, brick by brick and tile by hand. Time-consuming and labor-intensive, often varying from several years, condensing the wisdom and painstaking efforts of the ancestors. And overnight, assembly line contemporary real estate is not the same.

The narrow old street is still left behind, the Chen Er Ancestral Hall. Located in the middle of the street, the Xu Family Ancestral Hall was built in an unknown manner, reconstructed by the Republic of China as a two-storey, five-bay brick and wood bungalow with Roman arch windows on the front façade. After liberation, the site was relocated, and the houses were changed. The Chen Ancestral Hall is only separated from the 'Sanpin'' by an alley, and is now a traditional ancestral hall with a mixed brick and wood structure built after liberation.

At the end of the street, there is still a small section of stone slab old road, as well as a few shops in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, which resemble the remnants of history:

The shop is a two-storey upper and lower shop, a traditional tenon wood structure of the old house, the frieze is decorated with flowers, grass and geometric patterns of exquisite carving. More than a hundred years have stood firm, and now the demolition or old street, the last "ghost door close" of the old house.
