Guo Mingxi said in the report that the head-mounted AR device that Apple will launch has the following major differences compared to competitors:

Chip performance and computing power at the level of a Mac

Works independently without relying on iPhone or Mac

Supports a wide range of applications rather than specific applications

The report lays out the rough specifications of Apple's AR devices, saying it will be powered by a low-end processor that handles sensor-related tasks, a high-end processor that will perform similarly to the M1 chip currently used in Macs, and will also feature two 4K Micro OLED displays from Sony (and therefore may also support VR) and at least 6 to 8 optical modules.
