Patrick Tse Ka Yuk (15 September 1936), formerly known as Tse Ka Yu, was a Hong Kong actor and father of entertainer Tse Ting-feng. Because he ranked fourth among the eight brothers and sisters in the family, he was called "Fourth Brother", young people called him "Xie Laosi", and the older generation called him "A Kidney" (taking the shape of "Xian" and "Kidney"). His grandfather Xie Kunyi ran a silver trumpet business in Panyu, Guangdong, China, and was a director of Panyu Mingshi and Guanghua Hospital (1920). Later, he moved to Hong Kong due to the problem of war. Xie Xian graduated from the Primary School Affiliated to Lee Chak Secondary School in Kowloon in his early years and graduated from Lee Chak Secondary School at the age of 16. His aunt was the trustee of the school; he himself did not like to read, but liked to play, so he was expelled from the school. In 1978, he was invited to join TVB to shoot TV series, including "The King of a Thousand Kings" and "A Thousand Waters and a Thousand Mountains Are Always Love". Before working for a television station, he ran a construction business. At the same time, Lei Juekun, who was the owner of the Dragon City Theater at the time, invited him to form a company that was later called New Art City Films, which was mainly responsible for the distribution of film projects. Since the 1980s, Xie Xian has been involved in film shooting as a ticket player and has also filmed dramas for Asian television. He then moved to Richmond, Canada between 1988 and 1993.
Xie Xian's recent Hong Kong film credits include Shaolin Soccer, 2001, Black and White Forest and Tai Chi 2 Rise of Heroes. Xie Xian had two marriages, Zhen Zhen and Deborah. He himself had interacted with five people, two of whom were Jia Ling and Xiao Fangfang. In March 1974, Tse Hyun pursued Zhen Zhen successfully and registered his marriage in Hong Kong. Later, in December 1976, he and Zhen Zhen agreed to separate, ending a three-year marriage.
