"Among the newly added bird species, the black stork and the eastern white stork are the national first-level key protected birds, and the black-necked bird and the peregrine falcon are the national second-level key protected birds, which also increases the number of national first-level protected birds in the Dashanbao Reserve from 5 to 7 species five years ago, and the number of national second-level protected birds has increased to 22 species." According to the monitoring data of the staff of the Management and Conservation Bureau of Dashanbao Reserve, in the past five years, a total of 25 species of birds have been recorded in Dashanbao Reserve, namely black stork, oriental white stork, black-necked mandarin, peregrine falcon, golden ibis, crane sandpiper, anti-billed sandpiper, common ternell, red-winged crested crane, small cuckoo, small white-waisted swiftlet, smoky-bellied hairy-footed swallow, red-billed blue magpie, star crow, Dauri jackaw, wren-tailed, white-fronted swallowtail, brown-bellied fairy wagtail, spear-patterned strawberry, pure-colored mountain wagtail warbler, heterochromatic tree warbler, black-billed willow warbler, black-browed long-tailed, dark-breasted vermilion, and point-winged vermilion.
