Executive Chairman Song Xu made a report on the work of the first council of the Chamber of Commerce and reviewed the work of the Chamber of Commerce in the past five years. Since its establishment in January 2016, the Chamber of Commerce has insisted on building a platform, opening up channels and building a development platform; insisting on condensing nostalgia, integrating resources, hugging groups for warmth, and working together; insisting on organizing and carrying out various activities, increasing mutual enjoyment among members, and actively contributing to society; adhering to transparent board meetings, democratic decision-making, and establishing rules and regulations, and all work has entered the normal track. In the next step, with the care and support of relevant departments and all sectors of society, the Chamber of Commerce will continue to strengthen the platform of the Chamber of Commerce, enhance the height of work, expand the dimension of work, and contribute to the construction of a prosperous and beautiful society.
The general assembly unanimously adopted the work report of the first board of directors, the financial report, the Articles of Association (Amendment) and the Administrative Measures for the Collection and Use of Membership Fees of the Wuxi Chamber of Commerce of Hangzhou, and elected the second board of directors and the board of supervisors. Subsequently, the first meeting of the second session of the board of directors and the meeting of supervisors were held to elect the second leadership team. Li Jianjun was re-elected as chairman, Song Xu was re-elected executive chairman, Qian Junmin, Zhou Junjie, Mao Jianqiang, Pan Jing, Xu Doudou, Zhang Hao, Yang Yuejun, Wu Qingfeng, and Shen Qihao were elected vice presidents, Jiang Xiaoping was elected chairman of the board of supervisors, Shen Yuliang was re-elected secretary general, and Jiang Huijuan was re-elected as full-time deputy secretary general. The conference also appointed Xu Fenggen, Gu Shaopei and Zhou Chunsong as honorary presidents, Wu Youxiang as advisors, and commended the first council dedication award, outstanding members and outstanding villagers. The Chamber of Commerce has also established a friendly chamber of commerce with the Suqian Chamber of Commerce of Zhejiang Province and the Wuxi Chamber of Commerce of Suzhou City, and awarded the Red Education Base of Chun'an Zhongzhou Chashan Village.
Chairman Li Jianjun delivered an inaugural speech. He said that the new council coincided with an important moment for Zhejiang to start a new journey of high-quality development and build a common prosperity demonstration zone. To study and implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee, it is necessary to further enhance the height of the service work of the Chamber of Commerce, broaden the breadth of the platform of the Chamber of Commerce, improve the temperature of the internal atmosphere of the Chamber of Commerce, strengthen the depth of the daily work of the Chamber of Commerce, fully carry forward the spirit of Suzhou businessmen in the new era of Virtue, Chongwen, Industry and Innovation, and build the Wuxi Chamber of Commerce in Hangzhou into a united home, a service home and a warm home for the people of Wuxi in Hangzhou.
Yu Jianjun, member of the party group and vice chairman of the Wuxi Federation of Industry and Commerce, congratulated the meeting and put forward three requirements for the development of the chamber of commerce, looking forward to the Hangzhou Wuxi Chamber of Commerce to create four good chambers of commerce, looking forward to the Hangzhou Wuxi Chamber of Commerce to strive for the image of tin merchants, and looking forward to all our entrepreneurs striving to create excellent members who are intelligent and courageous.
