Is this historical figure really surnamed Shang?

Some branches of the Shang Clan Genealogy believe that Shang Qiucheng is a Shang surname and listed as one of the ancestors, is this really the case?

Shang Qiu Cheng (?) –89 BC) was a chancellor of the Western Han Dynasty, then emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. In the second year of Zhenghe (91 BC), Shang Qiucheng and MangTong quelled the rebellion of the crown prince Liu Zhao, so they were given the title of Marquis of Qin by Emperor Wu of Han, with 2,120 households. In September, he was promoted to imperial doctor. In June of the first year of the Later Yuan Dynasty (88 BC), when Shang Qiucheng was serving as a servant of Zhan Shi at the Xiaowen Temple, he drunkenly played the song "Out of The House of Peace and Neng Yu", which was accused of cursing the emperor and committing suicide on the charge of "great disrespect". In the third year of Qing Yongzheng (1725), in order to avoid directly writing the name of Confucius, the imperial court issued a notice: In addition to the Four Books and Five Classics, all those who encounter the word "Qiu" will be added to the "ear" next to Qiu, so many later generations of materials will write it as Shang Qiu Cheng.

In the "Book of Han • Chuan • Gongsun Liu Tian Wang Yang Cai Chen Zheng Biography" there is: "The attendant Mang Tong was repulsed as Hou, and the Chang'an man Jing Tong obtained the young Fu Shide from tong, which can be described as Yuan Gong. Dahong Shangqiu Chengli won the battle against the general Zhang Guang. He was enfeoffed as the Marquis of Chonghe, built as the Marquis of De, and became the Marquis of Qi. According to the writing of characters in ancient history books, "Shangqiu" should be a surname and "Cheng" should be its name.

Consulting Song Zhengqiao's "Tongzhi Clan Sketch", Han Ying Shao's "Customs and Customs and Surnames", Dou Xuetian's "Dictionary of Ancient and Modern Chinese Surnames", Chen Mingyuan Wang Zonghu's "Dictionary of Chinese Surnames", Yuan Yida Qiu Jiaru's "Dictionary of Chinese Surnames" and other books, all of which include the Shangqiu clan, and the representative figures all mention Shangqiu Cheng. Based on the above analysis, it is easy to conclude that Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty was not a Shang surname, and his surname should be "Shangqiu". (Written by: Shang Chunfeng, Jining, Shandong)
