According to the announcement, the Ministry of Transport and relevant ministries and commissions jointly organized the creation of the "Four Good Rural Roads" national demonstration in 2021. After county (city) level application, provincial verification, expert review, cross-review and other procedures, it is planned to name 153 county-level units as "four good rural roads" national demonstration counties, and 40 municipal units will be commended as "four good rural roads" to create outstanding units for urban demonstration.
Among them, Gaoming District of Foshan City was selected into the "Four Good Rural Roads" National Demonstration County Publicity List, and Foshan City was selected into the "Four Good Rural Roads" City Demonstration Creation Prominent Unit Publicity List. The results are now in the public announcement phase from November 19 to 25.
Mingzai learned from the Gaoming District Transportation Bureau that in recent years, Gaoming District has taken "building, managing, protecting and operating" rural roads as the overall goal, and has comprehensively rolled out the construction, management, maintenance and operation of rural roads.
By the end of 2020, the whole district has completed the transformation and upgrading of rural roads by 195.4 kilometers, and the setting rate of county and town-level rural road management agencies, the rate of rural road maintenance, the ratio of rural roads above the fourth level, and the rate of qualified administrative village buses have achieved "four 100%", and 4 municipal demonstration roads and 1 municipal demonstration town have been successfully created, and in 2020, they were jointly identified by the Provincial Department of Transportation, the Provincial Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, and the Provincial Poverty Alleviation and Development Office as the "Four Good Rural Roads" demonstration counties in Guangdong Province.
At present, Gaoming District relies on the construction of the four good rural road network, has basically formed a new pattern of "30·15" traffic (that is, 30 minutes for each town in the district to reach the central urban area, 15 minutes for each town street to drive into the highway), providing a solid guarantee for the comprehensive implementation of the rural revitalization strategy and accelerating the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.
