According to reports, since January 2021, a number of institutions in Hong Kong have signed cooperation agreements with the Qianhai Administration Bureau at the "Signing and Settlement Ceremony of Major Projects for Cooperation between Qianhai Shenzhen and Hong Kong" to jointly build a platform for the common development of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, promote cooperation in the modern service industry between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, facilitate the innovation and entrepreneurship of young people in Hong Kong and Macao, and contribute to the construction of the "dual area" of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Shenzhen Pilot Demonstration Zone.

Taking advantage of the "Qianhai Plan", the Qianhai Authority deliberately initiated the establishment of the Qianhai Hong Kong Investment Promotion Alliance, hoping to work with the industry to promote the interaction between enterprises in Qianhai and Hong Kong and build a business ecology with high-quality development.

At present, the members of the Alliance include the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the Federation of Hong Kong Guangdong Community Organizations, the Hong Kong Manufacturers' Federation, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, the Hong Kong Chinese Import and Exporters Chamber of Commerce, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, etc.

The Deputy Secretary for Innovation and Technology of the HKSAR Government, Mr John Wai-keung, attended and witnessed the launch ceremony. In his speech, he said that innovation and technology are the new driving force for Hong Kong's economic development. The HKSAR Government has actively implemented various I&T policies and invested more than HK$130 billion for the first time ever. The Chief Executive's new Policy Address proposes to build the Hong Kong-Shenzhen-Western Railway and promote Hong Kong as an international innovation and technology hub, and the HKSAR Government will continue to promote the development of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park (I&T PARK) in the Lok Ma Chau Loop.

Chung pointed out that the Governments of Shenzhen and Hong Kong have launched a joint policy package for the Cooperation Zone in the Qianhai Scheme to provide convenient mobility and support measures for scientific research resources, funds and people flow, and to promote the unique advantages of the two places in I&T, so as to jointly attract talents and wisdom for Shenzhen and Hong Kong. It is believed that in the future, with the superimposed advantages and the joint efforts of the governments of Shenzhen and Hong Kong, the development opportunities of the Greater Bay Area will be everywhere.
