author:Zhang Shengquan's wonderful history

In the early 1980s, a martial arts movie "Shaolin Temple" was released in the cinema and immediately caused a great sensation. Not only has it set off a martial arts craze across the country, but Shaolin Kung Fu has also been sought after by martial arts enthusiasts.

In fact, Shaolin martial arts have a long history, and it is rumored that its earliest origins originated in the late Jin Dynasty and the early Yuan Dynasty. At that time, when the Jueyuan Shangren of the Shaolin Temple passed through Lanzhou, Gansu, he met the famous martial artists Li Shuo and Bai Yufeng in Shanxi, and the three of them returned to the Shaolin Temple together. Li Shu and Bai Yufeng taught the martial arts of the family to the Shaolin disciples respectively. Later, through the continuous improvement of Shaolin martial monks, Shaolin Kung Fu soon became the largest sect of martial arts in the system, and also became one of the representatives of traditional martial arts.

Today, let's talk about the Shaolin Temple warrior monk Shi Degen during the Republic of China.

In 1914, Shi Degen was born in Guandimiao Village, Luzhuang, Gong County, Henan Province, with the common surname Han. His family was poor, his father died of illness when he was 3 years old, and his mother took their three brothers to survive. When Shi Degen was 6 years old, there was a drought in Henan, and there was no harvest of grain, which caused a very serious famine. In desperation, his mother had to send him, who was only 6 years old, to the Shaolin Temple's lower courtyard Fried Rice Temple (now Zangmi Temple) to practice under the door of Zen master Su Guang.

Zen master Su Guang saw that Shi Degen was talented and intelligent, and first sent him to a temple-run school to study martial arts for 3 years, and then to the county normal primary school for 6 years.

At the age of 15, Shi Degen came to the Songshan Shaolin Temple alone. He was ordained ordained as a monk under Master Zhenxu and practiced martial arts with him. Later, he studied martial arts for many years with master Wu Sanlin, a lay martial monk. Although Shaolin Kung Fu is profound and has many routines, Shi Degen, with his diligent study and hard work and one-point understanding, after more than ten years of learning martial arts, not only has he mastered internal and external kung fu, but also the skills such as boxing, sticks, guns and knives are also unmatched. Since then, he has become one of the most famous warrior monks in modern Shaolin Temples.

So, how powerful is Sedgham?

As early as when Shakyamuni was frying rice, Zen master Su Guang, in order to train his leg skills, tied copper coins on his legs, one a day, until the calves were fully tied, and then replaced with copper circles. Use this method to increase the strength in his legs.

After Shi Degen arrived at the Shaolin Temple, in order to train his leg skills, he sprinted to the top of the Five Milk Peaks every day. At a certain time, Shi Degen put an iron coat weighing 80 pounds on his body and added a steel ring to his wrist. Finally, heavy lead tiles were tied to the leg station. The advantage of this practice is not only to increase the strength of the legs, but also to practice light exercises, the body is extremely athletic and fast, and in his old age, Shi Degen was still able to walk like a fly. It can be seen how deep his leg skills are.

In the evening, Shi Degen went to the Five Dragon Pond in the valley opposite the Shaolin Temple, where he practiced internal skills.

He often gave luck to the pool of water and pushed his palm in the air. When his internal skills were practiced to the point of divination, he was able to push a pool of water into a loud roar.

There are more martial anecdotes about Shakyamuni. Here, let's pick two of the more famous events.

One year, Shi Degen returned to Guandi Temple Village to visit his family. His mother was herding cattle to mill rice, and because the cattle were moving too slowly, her mother asked Shi degen to drive the cattle next to her. As a result, whether Shi Degen took the whip and smoked next to him, or shouted loudly, the cow was still not slow. Seeing that it was getting dark, my mother was anxious and said, "Don't you know how to hit him with your hand?" Shi Degen listened to his mother's words, so he raised his hand and patted the cow's ass, but he did not expect that he would immediately fall down when he slapped the cow, and it turned out that the cow's crotch was broken by him.

This shows how powerful the internal force of Shi Degen is.

When Shi Degen was in his 20s, he was already one of the most refined martial monks in the Shaolin Temple.

Once, Shi Degen and several of his brothers went to Xi'an to seek ordination. After arriving in Xi'an, I heard that someone in Xi'an city was posing to challenge the Shaolin Temple. Shi Degen immediately rushed to the city to see the unreal. As a result, I really saw a strong man showing off his muscles in the ring. Looking at the ring again, I found that he had indeed erected two wooden plaques, one of which read ,"Punch both sides of the Yellow River" and the other "Kick shaolin hero".

Shi Degen was very dissatisfied, so he jumped into the ring and persuaded the strong man to remove the wooden sign of "Kicking the Shaolin Hero". As for "punching both sides of the Yellow River", because he did not name names, Shi Degen did not want to bother with him. Who expected that the strong man was very arrogant, not only refused to withdraw, but also shouted: "If you can swing the ring, you are not afraid of fighting." If you, the monk, have the ability to fight, talk so much nonsense, and win the battle, I will naturally withdraw it. ”

Shi Degen knew that he was vulnerable to attacking, so he repeatedly persuaded, who knew that the strong man thought he was timid, so he was even more arrogant. In desperation, Shi Degen made a life and death document with the strong man, saying that he would not be killed before the two began to move.

At first, when Shi Degen and the strong man fought, it was only the point, who knew that the strong man was indeed very martial arts, and his hands were very vicious, and the moves were all coming to the door of people's lives, leaving no room for anything. When Shi Degen was passing with him, he was slightly distracted, but he caught an opportunity, a sweep, and almost swept away Shi Degen's leg. Fortunately, Shi Degen's leg skills were solid to resolve this crisis, otherwise he would have been swept to a broken bone.

In a hurry, Shi Degen gathered his mind and used the Yin and Yang Hammer in Xiao Hong's fist. Only to see him scream and stomp on the instep of the strong man's feet. When the strong man closed his feet to avoid, he punched hard and hit the strong man's heart socket again. The strong man shouted and fell backwards. Shi Degen followed closely, and then made a right yin hammer, hitting the strong man's heart, and the strong man immediately spewed blood and died.

When the audience saw this, they all applauded and praised Shaolin Kung Fu for being worthy of the name. Since then, Shi Degen has become famous in one battle and has become one of the best masters in the martial arts world.

Unfortunately, in the chaotic times, not only the people suffered from war, but even the quiet Shaolin Temple suffered many disasters. As a last resort, Shi Degen had to return to his hometown and live in seclusion and continue to practice Shaolin Kung Fu.

In 1946, after the end of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Shi Degen served as the head of the Shaolin Temple's martial monks. When he taught his disciples, he was very strict and never reserved, so he cultivated many Shaolin masters.

After the founding of new China, in order to carry forward Shaolin Kung Fu, Shi Degen was invited by the Henan Song and Dance Troupe to serve as a martial arts coach. Later, he was invited by the Kaifeng Education Bureau to become a martial arts teacher in Kaifeng No. 1 Middle School.

When Shi Degen taught Shaolin Kung Fu, an interesting incident happened. At that time, there were three students who had practiced kung fu quite well, and wanted to see if Shi Degen's kung fu was as powerful as the legend said. So they shook their fists and wanted to have a contest with Shi Degen.

Shi Degen knew that he would hurt people by shooting, so before the test, he said good to a student, he did not move his fists, and the other party fell to the ground and lost. After the rules were set, the three students shot at the same time, and they attacked the upper, middle and lower sets of Shi Degen respectively. As a result, Shi Degen made the lion in the Luohan Fist shake his hair, only to see that he just shook his body, and the three students fell to the ground. Everyone was so shocked that no one dared to doubt Shakegan's martial arts anymore.

In order to promote Shaolin Kung Fu, Shi Degen not only actively recruited apprentices to teach art, but also wrote Shaolin Martial Arts into a book without reservation, so that future generations can have the opportunity to practice Shaolin Kung Fu.

In 1970, at the age of 56, Shi Degen died of lung disease in Dengfeng Wa Yaogou. Shi Degen is not only strong in martial arts, but also makes great contributions to the inheritance of martial arts. Therefore, until now, the martial arts community still considers him to be the strongest martial monk in modern history.
