  His paintings did not depart from the shadow of his father Qi Baishi, he laid the foundation of Western painting when he was studying at Fu Jen University in his early years, which played a very good role in his modeling, after turning to Chinese painting, both his pen and ink were influenced by the family style, and in response to that sentence, three years of apprenticeship was not as good as the door, Qi Baishi once inscribed such a sentence on the painting: "ZiChang (Qi Liangchi's character) beginner can create a painting bureau, which can be described as having the ability to learn, Yu Xi." His father's encouragement strengthened Qi Liangchi's determination to practice art.
