The documentary "Fighting Kung Fu", produced by the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism, premiered worldwide on 13:30 Beijing time on November 16, rebroadcast on 6:00 on CGTN's English news channel on CGTN, and will be broadcast in the near future on CGTN's language channels, as well as on Macau Radio and Television (TDM), which covers Hong Kong, Macao and Southeast Asia.

The martial arts tradition in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has deep roots and plays a unique role in the inheritance and international dissemination of traditional Chinese martial arts. The open, diverse and inclusive social and cultural atmosphere of the Greater Bay Area has enabled many martial arts schools that are on the verge of being lost to be preserved and passed on here, becoming the "living fossils" of the intangible cultural heritage of traditional Chinese martial arts. From here, Kung Fu officially went international, became a symbol of Chinese culture in the world, and triggered the national identity of Chinese people around the world.
The creative team of "Fighting Kung Fu" visited many traditional martial arts inheritors in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Hong Kong and Macao to find traditional martial arts skills and martial arts spirits, question the contemporary significance of traditional martial arts, and in the process explore ways to creatively inherit and develop traditional Chinese martial arts in the context of the construction strategy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Zhang Yaxin, a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Communication University of China, introduced: "We are not looking for martial arts masters, but looking for possibilities for traditional Chinese martial arts to truly enter the lives of ordinary Chinese and exude new vitality." Chen Huijun, coach of the Children's Awakening Lion Team of Guangzhou Liede Boyi Wushu Center, Feng Yihui, coach of Guangzhou Juying Martial Arts Center, feng Yihui, the inheritor of Hong Quan, and Ma Lianzhen, professor of the School of Physical Education of South China Normal University and founder of Jiangong College, are the three protagonists of the documentary "Fighting Kung Fu".
Through the filming of their daily training and teaching process, we can see the adherence and inheritance of values such as justice, courage and courage in the spirit of traditional martial arts, feel the physical strength contained in traditional Chinese martial arts, and the courage and patriotism of those who practice martial arts, as well as the significance and value of these for the healthy development of Chinese teenagers.
"Fighting Kung Fu" is produced by Guangzhou Global Ruidu Culture Communication Co., Ltd., bringing together outstanding producers of documentaries in Guangzhou and China. Xu Li, a famous music producer and winner of the Best Music Sound Award of the China Documentary Academy Awards, served as the film's music director, and Wang Weiyu, a young teacher at Shanghai Normal University who was shortlisted for many international animation film festivals, served as the opening animation design.
