At the entrance of the cemetery, a four-pillar, three-door granite arch stands in the middle of the path, which reads: Song Zuo Xiang Lu Xiufu Cemetery.
The gilded characters of xingshu are particularly dazzling, and the big name of the fallen is Lu Ruihua, the former governor of Guangdong Province.
A stone stele on the left side of the archway, the top covered with roof-shaped stone carvings, the front of the stele gilded traditional Chinese characters written "Patriotic Education Base - Song Zuo Xiang Lu Xiufu Cemetery", the lower right drop is "CPC Chao'an County Committee, Chao'an County People's Government". A two-story yellow façade on the right side of the archway is the office building of the Lu Xiufu Historical and Cultural Research Association.
On the morning of May 29, 2021, accompanied by Lu Haiyang, secretary general of the Chaozhou Lu Xiufu Historical and Cultural Research Association, I paid a special visit to lu Xiufu Cemetery.
Walk through the archway and follow the hillside cemetery to Lu Xiufu's mausoleum. According to the "Tombstone of Lu Cemetery of Song Zuo Xiang Xiu fu Lu Cemetery", the tomb of Lu Xiufu was built by Zhang Jingyang, the prefect of Chaozhou during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty, and the original site was located in the "Eastern Suburbs of Chaocheng Baita Ridge Under Lu Cuopu". The current cemetery was relocated to its current site in 2003. According to the original specifications, the cemetery covers an area of 100 acres, in addition to the main mausoleum, there are also supporting cemetery, archway, monument pavilion and other facilities. In 2007, the cemetery was designated as a patriotic education base by the Cpc Chao'an County Party Committee and the county people's government.
Lu Xiufu (1236–1279), courtesy name Junshi , nicknamed Dongjiang , was born in Jianyang Town, Jianhu County, Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. He moved to Zhenjiang with his father at the age of three, and was intelligent since he was a child, Nengshi at the age of seven, and dengjin shidi at the age of nineteen, and entered the dynasty as an official. In the second year of Song Deyou (l276), the Mongol Empire had captured the Southern Song capital Lin'an, and Emperor Zhao Xian and empress dowager were taken north. Lu Xiufu led his subordinates to escort the princes Zhao Fu, Zhao Fu, And His Wife, and went to Fuzhou and embraced Zhao Fu as emperor. Later, due to "disagreement" with The Minister of Power, Chen Yizhong, he was framed in June 1276, demoted to Chaozhou, and lived in Chenghai. By October 1277 should be recalled to the Dynasty. When Zhao Yan died of illness, The Minister of Power Chen Yizhong also absconded, and the small court of the Southern Song Dynasty was in turmoil. At a time when the country was in danger of survival, Lu Xiufu once again stepped forward and supported Zhao Fu as emperor with all the officials, and he was appointed as zuo chengxiang. He endured humiliation and burdens, did not care about previous accusations, put the great righteousness of the nation first, and made outstanding contributions to resisting foreign aggression and saving the country and the people. Lu Xiufu, Together with Wen Tianxiang and Zhang Shijie, left Fuzhou and traveled through Quanzhou, Nan'ao, and Huizhou to Xinhui Yashan, recruiting troops and fighting against the Yuan soldiers. Until 1279, in the Battle of Yamen, the army was defeated and killed.
In the Battle of Yashan, in the face of the Yuan army surrounded on three sides and advancing step by step, Lu Xiufu led his soldiers to fight in blood and resist to the death. When the general trend was gone and there was no hope of a breakthrough, after Lu Xiufu's first wife and son entered the sea, he carried the jade seal with him, carried the eight-year-old young emperor to the sea, and was martyred at the age of 43. More than 100,000 soldiers and civilians who accompanied him jumped into the sea one after another. After the war, more than 100,000 corpses crossed the sea, and the area around the cliff gate turned into a sea of blood, and the scene was extremely tragic and tragic, shocking the world and weeping ghosts!
In the long history of China for 5,000 years, Lu Xiufu was the only patriotic minister who held the young lord and bravely marched to the sea and martyred the country with his death.

The core of the Yashan spirit with Lu Xiufu as an outstanding representative is the patriotic spirit of bearing the world in mind and having the courage to take responsibility, the spirit of sacrifice that is willing to throw away one's head and spill blood for the sake of the country and the nation, the spirit of indomitable struggle, and the positive and enterprising spirit of knowing that it is impossible to do so. These spirits have become the precious spiritual wealth of the Chinese nation, which has been passed down through the ages, and has become an inexhaustible driving force to encourage the descendants of the Chinese people to strengthen their national self-confidence and cultural self-confidence and continue to forge ahead!

In Yingshan Village, where Lu Xiufu's mausoleum is located, from the agrarian revolution to the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression to the War of Liberation, outstanding sons and daughters have gone forward and succeeded one after another, and a large number of revolutionary volunteers such as Lu Wanjie, Lu Chuanyang, and Lu Yi have emerged, and a total of twenty-eight revolutionary martyrs have sacrificed their precious lives for the cause of liberation of the party and the people.
