In November 2014, Eric, his friend and father, died of a truck collision on their way back from a las Vegas auto show.

Upon hearing the news, Vanessa began packing her bags and getting ready for Las Vegas.

Vanessa said: "I thought he would definitely want to see me when he woke up and he would be fine. Eric is strong, he's a fighter. I didn't realize how serious the accident was. ”

However, before arriving in Las Vegas, Vanessa received a call: her husband Eric had died.

Hearing the news, Vanessa threw away her phone and ran out.

In September 2016, the day after their fourth wedding anniversary, Vanessa decided to wear the wedding dress they had worn when they were married. She played Keith Urban's song "Leave Us Memories" and danced in the kitchen.

Vanessa said: "I've always been sad, and doing little things like putting on my old wedding dress can make me less miserable. ”

The following year, Vanessa put on her wedding dress again and took pictures in the courtyard.

In 2018, Vanessa still wore a wedding dress and took a photo.

This year, Vanessa asked her boyfriend of 1.5 years, Curtis, to take wedding photos in the sunflower field.

"It was a bit cold that day, but I like those sunflowers. I put on my rubber boots and I ran around the fields while Curtis took pictures. Life doesn't stand still, it pushes you all the way forward. We still yearn for happiness. I knew Eric didn't want to see me having a bad time. Vanessa added.

Vanessa said that no matter what her life is like in the future, she will not throw away her wedding dress.

"I would never throw it away, or throw it haphazardly in a box." As long as my figure can still be worn, I will always wear it. Vanessa said.
