The Confusion of Laid-Off Workers (Part II)

author:Mao Mao is a lone traveler

Laid-off workers are the most miserable, laid-off workers are the most pitiful, because they are kicked out of the unit for no reason and let you make a living for yourself. Empty-handed, confused, only laid-off personnel know what it is like, that kind of helplessness and confusion of not being able to find a way out, only we ourselves know it, and we cannot describe the pain in any language. Laid-off workers are the victims of that era, reducing the number of personnel and increasing efficiency, people are reduced, and the ghost of increasing efficiency does not know?

I was laid off in 2002, and when I walked out of the factory gate with my lunch box and overalls, I looked back at the unit where I had worked for more than ten years, and I really wanted to find a place where no one was crying. Since then, there has been no job, no source of life, pain, loss, and I feel that I have become the most useless person in this era, completely eliminated by the wheel of history.

Today's young people simply do not understand what it means to be laid off in that era, the era of planned economy. At that time, workers all over the country were laid off, and you had no chance of re-employment. Laid off, you can't lift your head in front of your relatives and friends. Walking down the street, it seems that there are many people looking at you with alternative eyes, leaving you speechless.

Laid-off, no income, the most important thing is that you have to pay the social security fees in full. If you don't pay, it means that you don't have a pension and no living security when you're old.

I am still a lucky person, just in time for the Shenyang Municipal Government to recruit public welfare posts, through the examination, I successfully entered the public security system (belonging to the social defense personnel, assisting the police to work), although the income is relatively low, but can pay insurance, just do a few years after retirement, pension! Although I don't have to worry about eating and drinking now, the trauma caused by the layoffs can never be forgotten.

The Confusion of Laid-Off Workers (Part II)

We have been laid off, we have also gone through the most difficult years, but we have not been starved to death, we have with our hands and hard work, we have not been knocked down by difficulties, we have survived, we have overcome difficulties, we have lived very well. We don't need the pity of others, just give us the opportunity, and we will hold up a blue sky.

We have suffered so much, and the sufferings of the world have eaten us all. The market economy has never believed in tears, you are poor, no one will pity you, only to be a strong person in life, will let others admire.

It's time for us to have a good life, because we're giving too much, too much. Hunger at birth, suspension of school, going to the countryside after graduation, unemployed when returning to the city, and laid off at work, this is the real situation of our generation.

Looking back on the past, the hardest times have passed, but fortunately we have all survived bravely. The good days are coming, and we are old, so live well, my fellow citizens!
