Tracing the origin of the surname cannot fail to mention the historical migration of the population. As a colorful stroke in the history of migration, Yiguan Nandu has a far-reaching impact on the south, especially the Lingnan region.
Some people think that it is the entire process of southern gradual migration represented by the three feudal regimes, and some people think that it is only a general term for these three southward migrations.
The first move south was at the end of the Western Jin Dynasty, when Sima Rui, the emperor of the Jin Dynasty, avoided the Yongjia Rebellion and crossed the river to build the capital Jiankang (present-day Nanjing), and then a large number of gentry and gentry moved south.
Time set to the Tang Dynasty, An Lushan and Shi Siming rebelled against the Tang, and the famous "AnShi Rebellion" broke out, which turned the Tang Dynasty from prosperity to decline, and the population migrated south again, which was the second time to cross the south.
Then the Jin army destroyed the Northern Song Dynasty, the "Jing Kang Change", the Han rulers once again crossed the south, and established the Southern Song Dynasty in Hangzhou, also known as "Jianyan Nandu".

In the process of three migrations, the political, economic and cultural center that was originally in the north moved south, and a large number of Han Chinese people began to flock to what they saw as a barbaric land.
The migration of the population naturally also brings about the migration of surnames, and the entry of eight surnames into Fujian is a very important part of it.
After the outbreak of the Yongjia Rebellion, eight surnames moved to present-day Fujian Province.
At the main time, Lin, Chen, Huang, Zheng, Zhan, Qiu, He and Hu were surnamed, and a large part of them settled in the Fujian coast, which was called "Yiguan Nandu, eight surnames into Fujian".
In the previous article, the Albanians actually talked about this problem.
Today, the top ten surnames in Fujian, the eight surnames in Fujian account for four of them. The population accounts for almost 30% or more. In particular, the "Chen and Lin" ranked one or two.
Therefore, some people say that the eight surnames of Fujian can be called the ancestors of Fujian people.
However, looking closely at the ranking of surnames in Fujian, in the top 10, the eight surnames only have "Chen, Lin, Huang, and Zheng", "He and Hu" are ranked outside the 20, and "Zhan and Qiu" are outside the 50.
It should be known that the population of the top ten surnames in Fujian accounts for almost half of the total population of Fujian, so it seems that saying "eight surnames into Fujian" is the ancestor of Fujian people, which is reasonable, but not very comprehensive.
There are two mainstream theories on this issue.
【A kind】
It is believed that the ancestors of today's Fujian people are the natives of Fujian and Vietnam who originally lived in and around Fujian.
As for the earliest Min Yue people, there are theories that they may have had three sources. Mongols from the sea, from nigro dwarfs, from the Caucasians, etc.
These ethnic groups from these sources survived and multiplied in Fujian and Vietnam, and continued to sinicize, becoming the ancestors of Fujian.
This statement holds that the eight surnames into Min are more like legends. The non-Han ethnic groups in ancient times revered and yearned for the orthodox culture of the Han people. Under the influence of this kind of orthodox thinking in the Central Plains, the Natives of Minyue after the Sinicization passed it on or revised the family tree by word of mouth for the purpose of clinging, and passed it down from generation to generation, and now there is today's saying.
They believe that the largest number of immigrants from the north is the Jiangnan region, which generally does not penetrate deep into Fujian, and there are very few. Today, the main surname of Fujian has appeared in the Han Dynasty, and at this time Fujian has not yet begun the process of Huaxiaization, so there is no doubt that the main population in Fujian is the indigenous Chinese.
【Another】
It is believed that today's Fujian people have ancestors from ancient Henan, Gwangju, Gushi and other places.
There are generally two aspects to the basis. First, the genealogy of today's Fujian people records that their ancestors migrated from the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the Five Dynasties, and the last years of the Northern Song Dynasty.
The second is to combine the migration routes of Lingnan surnames such as Chen Huang, and the place of relocation is from the Henan region.
Whether it was the first southern crossing of the crown in 308 AD, there were eight surnames entering Fujian; or in 669 AD, Chen Zheng Chen Yuanguang town guarded Yunxiao, and soldiers were stationed and multiplied; or in 880 AD, Wang Zhizhi's brothers led troops into Fujian and grew here.
Then again, the claim of the ancestral origin of the Fujian people has its own basis. It is also possible to list the bases for overturning another claim.
