In response to the "double reduction", local people's governments at or above the county level shall strengthen supervision and management, reduce the burden of homework and off-campus training on students in the compulsory education stage, smooth the communication channels between schools and families, and promote the mutual cooperation between school education and family education.
Minors' parents or other guardians shall reasonably arrange time for minors to study, rest, recreation, and physical exercise, avoid increasing minors' learning burdens, and prevent minors from becoming addicted to the Internet. It is also required to further do a good job of linking the Law on the Protection of Minors, the Law on Anti-Domestic Violence and other laws, to prevent domestic violence and ensure the mental health of minors.
At the same time, it is clear that administrative departments for education and women's federations shall provide services for parents or other guardians of left-behind minors and minors in distress to carry out family education, and guide them to actively pay attention to the physical and mental health of minors.
This is the first time that our country has adopted special legislation on family education.
