According to foreign media reports, Amazon is cracking down on sellers who violate the Seller Code of Conduct (Seller Code of Conduct).

Amazon officially posted in Seller Center: "We have recently received several complaints in succession, all of which involve the seller's means of obtaining customers and the normative issues of product conversion, especially the use of websites other than Amazon to drive sales in Amazon stores through rebates, coupons and other marketing measures." It may not be clear from the announcement which practice Amazon is referring to, but there are sellers who list links that point to Facebook.

In March, a seller posted on Amazon titled "I hope Amazon can monitor seller manipulation on Facebook" and posted a screenshot of a supposedly Facebook post by a health product brand showing "buy one get two free on Amazon," promising to give away a free bottle to consumers who buy the health product on Amazon.

The Amazon seller also posted a screenshot of a Facebook post that allegedly belonged to the same brand of health products, showing that it promised that if consumers bought the health product on Amazon, they would get a free bottle, leaving another bottle within 15 days after leaving a good review.

Amazon says it is against the Seller Code of Conduct if a seller offers rebates, coupons, or other marketing tools to stream Amazon's product listings off-site (sites other than Amazon). Amazon further wrote that such an exaggeration of search rankings, product conversions, and the number of retention reviews of products would be unfair to consumers and other sellers.

Amazon said it is reviewing web developers among Seller Center partners to make sure they are not offering abusive services and is removing any apps that violate the terms. A new round of "strike hard" seems to be about to start, sellers please pay more attention.
