In the early morning of November 2, Yan Mou of Gejia Village in Quangang Town, Fengcheng City, got up and found that his cattle were missing. On November 4, the victim recognized his lost cattle at Zhou's cattle farm, and Zhou confessed to stealing 5 cows.

Zhou Mou, 56 years old, is a local cattle farmer who has been raising cattle since 2003.

The relationship between Fengcheng police and Zhou Mou should start from 2015. When he was caught stealing cattle that year, there were more than 70 cows in Zhou's cowshed, of which more than 30 were stolen.

"Generally, those who steal cattle are sold after stealing, or kill and sell beef, but Zhou is not." The police said that the cattle stolen by Zhou Mou were reluctant to kill and sold, and all of them were put into the cowshed and raised together. His purpose in stealing cattle was to grow his cattle breeding business. That's why he specializes in cows, especially calves or cows that are pregnant.

Zhou said that when he was arrested in 2015, he still had 41 cows left, and when he was released from prison in October 2019, only 11 cows were left. After more than a year of development, he had nearly 40 cows, but only 16 cows did not enjoy the relevant subsidies, so he re-embarked on the road of crime.

Recently, Zhou Mou, who was detained in the case-handling center, told reporters: "I am here now, and the cattle in the family do not know who is taking care of it." Zhou sighed and said that during his first prison sentence, the eldest son unfortunately drowned while herding cattle.
