Climate trends are forecast for this winter season
It is estimated that the winter of 2021/2022 (December 2021 to February 2022) will have a lower average temperature in the province than usual, with large fluctuations in cold and warm during the season, warm in the early stage and cold in the later stage, and the possibility of a phased strong cooling event is greater. The extreme minimum temperature north of the Huai River and the mountainous areas of the province -12.0 to -10.0 °C, other areas -10.0 ~ -8.0 °C. In the previous winter (December 2021), the temperature in most parts of our province was higher than usual; in the later winter (January-February 2022), the cold air activity was significantly stronger, the temperature was low, and the number of low-temperature days was more. The amount of rain and snow north of the Huai River is more than usual, and there is less rain and snow along the Huai River and south of the Huai River, and there are stages of low-temperature rain and snow freezing weather, but the possibility of large-scale and sustained low-temperature rain and snow freezing disasters is small, and there are meteorological droughts in some areas south of the Huai River.
Climate trend forecasts for next spring
It is expected that in the spring of 2022 (March-May), the precipitation in the province will be less than usual, and there will be meteorological drought in some areas south of the Huai River. The average temperature in the province is slightly higher than usual, and the temperature changes are larger, with mild spring cold. The extreme minimum temperature is 0 to 2.0 °C in the north of the Huai River and in the mountainous areas of the province, and 2.0 to 4.0 °C in other areas.
