Huizhou story | is aimed at saving the country threesomes

author:Huangshan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism

What I want to tell here is the patriotic story of the three Huizhou sages.

One is Wang Luben, a native of Xixi, who was born in Shuxiang Mendi, but he was indifferent to his meritorious name, sacrificed his life to save the country, and once organized a strong association in Nanjing with some colleagues, aiming to overthrow the Qing court and resist foreign insults, and at that time he also formed a new battalion of troops stationed in Jiujiang. One is the famous Master of Chinese Painting Huang Binhong, a native of Tandu, who had close contacts with Tan Sitong and expressed deep admiration for Tan Sitong's killing of Cheng Ren, and he himself also showed a high degree of national integrity during the War of Resistance. Another is the pioneer of modern education, Xu Chengyao, Tang Moren, who at the beginning of the creation of the new An Middle School and the Ziyang Normal School, he used the "three righteousnesses" to discipline students, one is patriotic, the other is loving the body, and the third is loving: he also emphasizes that among the three righteousnesses, patriotism comes first. Xu Chengyao and Huang Binhong had formed a friendship with Wang Luben, the second son of Mr. Wang, as early as when they studied under Wang Zongyi, the great Confucian of Jiangnan.

At the time of the Ming and Qing dynasties, the thinker Huang Zongxi had a groundbreaking thesis: "For the great harm of the world, the king is enough." In the thirty-second year of the Qing Dynasty (1906), the secret organization founded by Xu Chengyao and others was called the "Yellow Society", which was intended to uphold Huang Zongxi's democratic ideas, unite anti-Qing zhishi, and respond to Sun Yat-sen's revolution. Xu Chengyao presided over the social affairs of the Huangshe Council, and Huang Binhong served as the assistant of the Huangshe. Soon after the establishment of the Huangshe, Xu Chengyao consulted with Wang Luben and invited Chen Quyi and many other members of the League to teach at Xin'an Middle School and Ziyang Normal School, and worked together to promote the development of the Huangshe organization and expand the anti-Qing propaganda for national salvation. Under the propaganda and encouragement of the League and the Yellow Society, the anti-Qing Kuangfu ideology of Xin'an and Ziyang Schools surged forward, and the revolutionary enthusiasm of teachers and students to oppose the Qing Dynasty and save the country was rising day by day.

In the thirty-third year of Guangxu (1907), in order to raise funds for the activities of the Huang Society, Huang Binhong tried to buy some special machinery and equipment, quietly placed them in his own house, and then hired a number of craftsmen to open furnaces and smelt and cast copper yuan. Who knew that this action attracted local attention, and soon someone reported it to the authorities. At that time, The Manchu Enming, who was serving as the inspector of Anhui, was shocked when he learned about the activities of the Huang Society, and Zhang Huang was very excited, "Quick! fast! Go to the imperial court, please investigate and deal with it." On that day, the atmosphere in the provincial capital and Huizhou was extremely tense! Fortunately, the envoys and scholars who were involved in editing the case materials at that time intentionally or unintentionally delayed the time, so that Enming's recital could not be issued on the same day. Things are indeed strange and unpredictable! Just when the Yellow News Agency was about to be investigated, another explosive news was released. The day after deciding to report the Huangshe case, Enming was suddenly assassinated by Xu Xilin, a brave warrior, and died! At that time, the inspector Yamen became a pot of porridge, and the materials for investigating and handling the Huang Society were burned together. A shocking case was luckily lost without a trace.

In 1930, Xu Chengyao's "Huairen Poems" and his group of poems on his 70th birthday repeatedly recalled the thrilling anti-Qing struggle at that time, Shiyun: "Three or five concentric couples, blatantly vain." Deployed in the clouds, chopping the ground and playing freely. The calf laughs fiercely, and the silkworm worries and breaks the decay. Ru Shu Imitates Chi Wu, leaving a small ridge. Youyun: "Ziyang Junzize, the ancient city corner of the mountain and the moon." Grief marks a new banner, and hard work gathers apprentices. The evil is instigated, and the name Defei is called. Accidents are lucky, and the cliffs are smooth. ”
