After the game, Tetsuya Kiyonai described his 1,000th victory as "stumbling and winning a game of chess".

Tetsuya Kiyosei, who has won 1,000 wins in 45 years and one month in his career, said: "I turned 60 in November this year, but fortunately I have won 1,000 wins before that. Judging from my record, I am still very satisfied with such results. During my inner disciple period, I received a lot of support from Mr. and Mrs. Kurahashi, so I would like to thank these two for their continued support. In the future, in terms of mentality, I still have to return to the way I was when I was young and actively play my own chess. ”
