1, Born for music
Born in 1959 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, he is the only son in the family.
His parents worked in painting, and his artistic cells were all in music. When I was in kindergarten, I joined the choir.

When I was in elementary school, I represented my school in a solo competition and won the second place. Of course, his artistic talent is not limited to music, and he won the third place in the manga competition in junior high school.
Elementary school years
In 1975, at the age of 16, he was admitted to a prestigious art school. But he still participated in the song club at school, was the conductor of the band, and worked as a teaching singer. At this time, he was already personable and was the "male god" in the school.
While in school, he formed a band called the Travelers Trio, and as he approached graduation, he went to small performances and recorded an album.

He served in 1980 and taught singing. During his two years of military service, he composed more than thirty songs. This surging creative ability is also an inexhaustible driving force for the development of future careers.
2, musical career
After retiring from the army, I found my first job to make a living at a cartoon company. During this period, he insisted on composing songs.
In 1982, at the age of 23, he relied on the accumulation of songs, and he finally entered the "Poly Gold" record label as an assistant. During this period, he wrote the song "This Love Will Never Stay" for Fei Yuqing.
In 1984, he began to plan his own album.
In 1985, the first album "Thinking of You" was released, and at this time it began to emerge.

And what really established his status as Taiwan's "Four Heavenly Kings" was his fifth album in 1989, "Actually You Don't Understand My Heart".
This is his milestone work, which won the Taiwan sales championship that year and then became popular in the mainland. That's when we first got to know him. The title song of the same name still sounds charming to this day, and it immediately reminds you of his gentle and elegant image.
I think the pinnacle of his career was from 1989 to 1995. He has entered the Hong Kong music scene, and Hong Kong stars have competed to cover his songs, and he has also written songs for them. At that time, his creative talent was gushing, and there were countless original songs such as "Petal Rain", "Yelia Girl", "Love and Sorrow", "Keep the Roots" and so on. The song is romantic, supple, cosy and delicate.
3, the later stage of the career and feelings
With the invasion of the years, the young man's appearance is no longer there, and the waves of the times have exhausted generation after generation. After becoming a naturalized citizen in Canada in 1995, there were not many works after that, and it was not satisfactory.

In 2004, Tong Ange and Chen Meixin formally divorced, ending an 18-year marriage. He met her when he was acting, and later became his agent, and as the two of them intertwined their careers and lives, there were more differences, and finally they could not be recovered and divorced. He has a son and a daughter.

In 2010, 51-year-old Tong Ange and his first love girlfriend Liao Haili married in a low-key manner, and after marriage, they lived a low-key and plain life, and now rarely appear.
