On June 22, local time, the ninth batch of 3 million doses of Coxing COVID-19 vaccine purchased by Dominica from China arrived in Santo Domingo, the capital city. A number of vice presidents, the General Coordinator of the Cabinet of Health Affairs, Peña, and the Minister of Health Rivera went to the airport to greet them, and Zhang Run, the Chinese envoy to Dominica, was invited to attend the handover ceremony.
At the ceremony, Peña told the media that the arrival of the vaccine will provide important support for the further promotion of the national vaccination plan. China reached out to help in times of crisis, demonstrating the "brotherhood" of China and many countries. On behalf of the many Governments, Peña expressed its gratitude to the Chinese Government and people.

Zhang Run said that he was very pleased to be invited to welcome the ninth batch of Chinese vaccines, and the Chinese side expressed its appreciation for the Dominican government's great importance and trust in Chinese vaccines, and China will continue to provide support within its capacity to fight the epidemic.
