U.S. Soccer Association: Manchester City goalkeeper Steffen is covid-19 positive and is currently quarantined

Live bar September 6, the U.S. Football Association officially confirmed that the United States team goalkeeper Zach Steffen was diagnosed with the new crown infection and will not travel to Honduras to participate in the United States Team World Cup qualifiers held in San Pedro Sula on the 8th, and Sean Johnson will replace him.

Steffen was diagnosed through a rigorous series of tests in accordance with the relevant epidemic prevention agreements of the United States Football Association. After initially testing positive, Steffen has been quarantined and contact tracing has been initiated by U.S. team doctors. His positive results were confirmed in an additional test completed today, in addition to another member of the American team who also tested positive and received the same treatment.

Since Steffen's initial positive results, all players and staff members who may have been in contact have tested negative on multiple tests and have been allowed to play.

As always, the AFC's primary concern is the health and safety of its players and staff. The U.S. Soccer Federation is committed to complying with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's requirements for epidemic regulations and agreements on the return of U.S. soccer to the field.

Johnson, 32, who has made nine appearances for the national team, is a dual citizen of the United States and Jamaica, and the New York City goalkeeper has been one of the U.S. team's active players since 2011. Johnson has arrived in Nashville and will be ready for the game tonight.
