"A lot of people think that the name 'zero point number' means that I started from scratch when I 'went to the sea'. In fact, it is not, I got this name because 'zero' does not represent either positive nor negative, it represents that the survey data I do has one to say, and to maintain objective neutrality and truth. Yuan Yue said.

Back 27 years ago, Yuan Yue, who worked in government agencies, often came into contact with research and research, and in his work, he found that there was a certain deviation between the expression of many policy analysis reports and the real demands of the people, and the main reason for the deviation was the lack of first-hand data.

This work experience allowed Yuan Yue to see the potential value of data collection and analysis.

In 1992, Yuan Yue founded the predecessor of Zero Point, Beijing Zero Point Market Research and Analysis Company, in Beijing. In the early days of its establishment, the company quickly became famous with a series of research topics with greater social impact.

"We have done the earliest research on the development status of large-scale private enterprises in China, the research on the investment environment for foreign investment, and the earliest research on floating population conducted by social research institutions, and we have also participated in the comparative study of global consumption data very early." Yuan Yue introduced that through these surveys, the company has accumulated a lot of practical experience, and the company's popularity has opened up.

Notoriously, the early zero points still had to tighten the belt of their pants to get by.

Yuan Yue said: "Before 2005, there was no public budget for third-party research and evaluation in China, and most of our research on public welfare social topics had to rely on the income from commercial research to support. Zero Point Has cooperated with many well-known customers for more than 10 years: 27 years with Vanke, 25 years with Beiqi Foton, and more than 16 years with FAW Group.

"Our commissioned third-party research and evaluation practice in the public affairs sector began in 2005." Yuan Yue introduced that the company's current customers in the field of public affairs cover party and government organs, institutions, research institutions and community organizations at all levels from central departments to grass-roots organizations, and have completed data analysis reports such as "National Research on the Basic Situation of People from New Social Classes", "National Survey on legal aid needs for the disabled", "Taxpayer Tax Reduction and Fee Reduction Satisfaction Survey Project", "China People's Livelihood Satisfaction Survey" and other data analysis reports to provide decision-making reference for relevant departments.

From 2018 to 2020, Zero Point Count achieved revenue of 349 million yuan, 381 million yuan and 378 million yuan, respectively, and net profit of 35.7614 million yuan, 37.3493 million yuan and 50.7577 million yuan.

Yue Yuan said: "Our first three years after our establishment is to achieve industry fame, the second goal is to achieve sustained profitability, and the third goal is to be among the forefront of the industry. All three goals were achieved ahead of schedule. "From the perspective of long-term strategic goals, the three 9-year strategies since the establishment of the company are to establish the brand, expand the coverage and seek change and improvement.

However, Yuan Yue is cautious about the next 9-year strategy. "The speed of technological change is unimaginable, and our current strategic cycle has been adjusted to 3 years.

Yuan Yue said that after 3 years, the zero point number will be a technological innovation-driven enterprise, and intelligence will become the new core of the business. At present, the company's revenue from data intelligence application software has increased from 0.94% in 2018 to 14.92% in the first half of this year, and this figure will be further improved.

Yuan Yue said that the initial stage of data research (in the mid-1990s) was mainly through a single source of data, that is, a first-hand survey data to form an analysis report. By 2005, the popularity of the Internet made multi-source data analysis possible. "The fusion of desensitized data sources on the Internet, data sources purchased from compliant channels, data sources from customers and self-acquisition data sources has been greatly improved, and the richness of data analysis dimensions and the level of insight of analysis conclusions have been greatly improved." Yuan Yue introduced.

"At present, data analysis is gradually shifting to the third stage, that is, multi-source intelligent analysis. Multi-source data, system processing, and intelligent countermeasures have become the three basic characteristics of the company's new data business. The company's 3 IPO projects are all centered around this direction. Yuan Yue said.

It is reported that the zero point cloud assessment project aims to upgrade the assessment and assessment business of government and enterprise customers, and the project will greatly improve the ability to quickly retrieve and dispatch data, improve the technical level of automated analysis and processing, and meet the needs of cloud storage, computing and subsequent integration and analysis of professional assessment services.

The Knowledge Spectrum Project will build a "Knowledge Spectrum" platform with the nature of a knowledge computing engine to achieve breakthroughs in knowledge processing, knowledge acquisition, knowledge presentation and knowledge processing technology around core government affairs and business scenarios.

The Cloud Brain Project will form a data intelligent decision-making assistance cloud system based on digital information collaboration and application algorithm center on the basis of "knowledge wisdom spectrum" and vertical application algorithm library.

"These three projects have a certain progressive relationship in technology, and the cloud brain project with several decisions is the highest technical content of these three projects, and it is also a technical reserve for the next stage of development." Yuan Yue said.
