The existing ancient Chinese cultural relics can be ranked in the 100 national treasures, which can be regarded as rare treasures, but unfortunately, some of the 100 pieces are still scattered overseas, and I don't know when they will be recovered. The Zhaoling Liujun mentioned in today's article is a large stone, very heavy, especially difficult to transport, but 100 years ago, there were two Jun, which were transported to the United States.

Zhaoling, the joint burial tomb of Emperor Taizong of Tang and his empress, is located in present-day Liquan County, Shaanxi Province, while the Zhaoling Liujun was originally located on the Merit Corridor next to the Tomb of Zhaoling.

Liu Jun is six horses, the prototype is Li Shimin assisted Gao Zu to establish the mounts of the early Tang Dynasty, their big names, namely Salu Zi, White Hoof Wu, Teller, Qinglu, Shivachi, Fist And Hair, in fact, are named after the color and characteristics of the horses, very foreign.

Li Shimin attached great importance to the carving of the six juns, and ordered Yan Liben to paint the six juns, and the craftsmen carved and chiseled according to the painting. Each one is seven meters high, two meters wide, more than a foot thick, and weighs several tons. Li Shimin also felt that this was not solemn enough, and personally gave 6 poems, one poem per horse.

The peculiar point of the image of the six horses in Zhaoling is that the six horses have all been hit by arrows: 5 arrows of Qinghua, 5 arrows of Shivachi, 1 arrow of Salu Purple, and the most arrows in the middle are fist hair, the first 6 arrows, and the last 3 arrows. SaLuzi was the only one of the Six Juns, Qiu Xinggong, a loyal soldier who had rescued Li Shimin, who was bowing his head and drawing arrows for the horse.

The Six Juns of Zhaoling stayed in Zhaoling for nearly 1300 years, but from 1911 onwards, it was remembered by the wicked.

When Yuan Shikai was the provisional president, Zhang Yunshan, a military and political leader in Shaanxi at the time, took the Suluzi and Fist Mao for his own use, and after Zhang Yunshan's death, Erjun went to Lu Jianzhang, who succeeded him.

At the same time, an American Bischbo was sent to China by the Penn Museum to collect cultural relics. He had some understanding of SaLuzi, and after arriving in Beijing, he found an antique dealer, Zhao Hefang, inquired about Erjun's whereabouts, and pulled him to Beijing. But at that time, Bi Shibo was unable to transport them both out of the country, so Zhao Hefang sold Erjun to Lu Qinzhai.

In 1916, the new museum at the University of Pennsylvania was completed, and wanted to display the Six Juns of Zhaoling, and Bi Shibo suggested that the curator Gordon contact Lu Qinzhai. In 1918, Erjun was transported to Philadelphia by Lu Qinzhai and sold to Penn for $125,000. Now the two horses, The Fist And the Purple Horse, are on display on the side of the entrance to the Penn Museum.

Bi Shibo was still thinking about the remaining four horses, but on the way to steal, they were discovered by the squires and the people in time, and the carriage was recovered, but the four stone horses had been broken into pieces.

In 1953, when the Shaanxi Provincial Museum (today's Xi'an Forest of Steles Museum) was founded, it received these four stone carvings, put them together for restoration, and then copied two other horses and displayed them together.

Whether these two cultural relics can be recovered is not known. As descendants of China, we can only work together to realize the rejuvenation of the famous Chinese people at an early date, so that the international community can no longer covet China and show the prestige of a big country.
