Control technology of lychee bug "stink fart"

After the sting, the winter worm awakens. Now, it is the time when the lychee bugs harm the lychees.

Lychee bugs are pentatomidae of the hemiptera Litchiaceae, which are mainly harmful to lychees and longan, but also to other afflicted subfamily. Nymphs and adults suck the sap of lychee and longan shoots, spikes and young fruits, causing flowers and fruits to fall. In case of disturbance, it is often ejected from the odorous liquid for self-defense, and the young shoots and young fruits will be partially scorched brown. It is mainly distributed in Fujian, Taiwan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and other provinces and regions.

Lychee bug nymphs are infested

First, the law of occurrence

Occurs 1 generation a year as adults overwinter in thick leaf bushes or on the backs of old leaves on trees. In March and April of the following year, it resumed activity and laid eggs on the back of the leaves. In May and June, nymphs are infested. The nymphs are 5 years old, last about 2 months, have a suspended animation habit, most of them feather into adults in July, and enter the wintering period after cold weather.

Second, prevention and control technology

(1) Appropriate period for prevention and control

1. Overwintering adults

In early to mid-March, the overwintering adults begin to lay eggs.

2. Nymphs

From mid-March to early to mid-April, control is carried out at the peak of nymph hatching rates of 30%.

(2) Prevention and control methods

(1) Agricultural control

Trim the insect shoots reasonably and clear the garden in winter.

(2) Artificial prevention and control

In the winter and spring, the tree is artificially shaken, and the adult insects are hunted intensively; the egg blocks are removed during the egg laying period and the nymphs are caught.

(3) Chemical control

(1) Application method and precautions

It should be applied after the dew dries in the morning or in the evening; the whole plant should be sprayed, and the ground should be sprayed to treat both ground worms; pesticides should not be sprayed during the flowering period, and highly toxic agents with a long residual period should not be used during the flowering and young fruit stages; pesticides should be rotated to avoid drug resistance.

(2) Select the agent

To seize the appropriate period for larval control, it is recommended to use the following agents: 2.5% kung fu emulsion 2000 to 1000 times, 2.5% enemy killing emulsion 2000 to 1000 times, 80% dimethoate soluble powder 1500 to 1000 times, 10% ether permethrin suspension agent 2000 to 1000 times, 5% acetamidine emulsion 1000 to 500 times. The amount of insecticide can be appropriately increased when controlling adult insects.
