In the past, in the articles of fish farming, some ornamental fish with particularly sensitive nerves were often mentioned, and very common species were roughly dragon fish, tiger fish, koi, colorful, parrot and so on.
And goldfish and grass goldfish and some small ornamental fish, in our view they seem to be a group of things without heart and lungs, it seems that they are born without knowing what is called fear, in fact, not, to some extent, they will have a certain psychological phobia, fish farming today encountered the psychological depression of small grass gold.
The 12 grass goldfish are all curled up in the corner of the fish tank, basically dare not easily move the place, so what is the cause of the occurrence of this phenomenon of small grass goldfish, which will be revealed later.
Since it is reasonable to say that as long as it is a fish, they will have a fear psychology, so why do most small ornamental fish rarely have psychological depression?
The reason is actually very simple:
One reason is because most of the small ornamental fish, especially various small tropical fish, are raised in relatively small aquariums, so in terms of environmental problems and the size of the water body, they do not feel too much psychological depression.
Another reason is that most of these small tropical fish are socially raised, and no one will raise zebrafish or traffic light fish in a fish tank, they are accompanied by too many partners, coupled with the environment, so they will not be psychologically depressed.
For some medium and large ornamental fish, this is not the case, most of them are naked tank rearing, and some may raise a small number, then the problem comes.
First, the water body is too large and the number of ornamental fish is too small, which will cause extreme fear of ornamental fish
Especially parrot fish, tiger fish fry, dragon fish fry, colorful adult fish, these ornamental fish in the case of the water body of the fish tank is too large, basically may be able to lie down in an instant, where there is an obstacle area that can cover them, they will lie there, if there is nothing in the fish tank, or the hiding place is too small, they will lie directly on the bottom of the tank, such as the koi that is too large.
Second, the light of the fish tank is too strong, the ornamental fish are afraid, or the lights are uncertain
If the light in our fish tank is too strong, in the early stage of the ornamental fish, they are also extremely afraid, especially if there is only one fish in the fish tank, such as Luohan fish, dragon fish, thunder dragon and the like, it is very likely that the latter two will jump madly.
Many aquarists think that the stronger the light of the fish tank, the better the color of the ornamental fish, in fact, it is completely incorrect, or it is very likely to be a short-term chicken and egg removal behavior, if the light of the fish tank is very strong, in the long run, the ornamental fish may fade.
Therefore, raising most of the ornamental fish, we all need relatively soft lighting as well, and then a color problem of ornamental fish is not all caused by relying on lights, and the background, background color, environment, water quality, feeding of the fish tank will have a certain relationship, or as long as the ornamental fish do not have any psychological disease, we are in the fish tank to place an incandescent lamp, it will also be colored, and then can see the sun is the best policy.
There is also a problem that we suddenly turn on and off the lights, many ornamental fish simply can't stand it, this problem I have long said, go home in the evening to turn on the lights, first turn on the indoor lights and then turn on the fish tank lights, turn off the lights and vice versa, to give the ornamental fish a signal that needs to adapt in advance.
Third, frequently change the background, set in the fish tank, and catch fish frequently
As for the frequent changes to the background, lighting or environment of the fish tank, I will not say more, the key problem is that we catch fish frequently, and many new aquarists are like this.
The first problem involved here is that we do not pay attention to the selection of fish, and secondly, we do not pay attention to water raising, and then the fish come home with a little bit of a small illness and disaster, and we start all kinds of tosses.
Many new aquarists can fish the ornamental fish in the tank back and forth three times in one day, soaking them with different drugs.
Let's not talk about how the ornamental fish we treated is dead or alive, even if it can be cured, the other ornamental fish in the fish tank are also scared half dead by us, and then it may all lie down in the tank, and finally give us the impression that the whole tank of fish is all sick, fishing one by one, one by one, or starting the whole tank of medicine, the name of the inspection and quarantine, in essence, the ornamental fish may only be caused by fear, and finally the whole tank of ornamental fish will be finished.
If our own level of fishing is not very clever, there will definitely be ornamental fish that are directly scared to death, crashing into the wall of the tank and playing directly.
The first reason is that the fishing is caused, they are very frightened when they are fished in the fish shop, and when they come to me, they are divided into tanks again, and some are fished to the map fish, and they are fished back and forth many times.
The second reason is because the fish tank is too large, the feeding density is too low, which is very important, and their individuals are very small, so I chose 12 fish tanks to be kept separately in 80 cm fish tanks, so they are even more afraid.
The third point is that I found out today that the filtered water flow of this fish tank is a little too small, and I reached into the fish tank to adjust the water flow of the water pump, and the sudden increase in the water flow, as well as my alarm, and the noise of the pump, etc., which directly led to the fear of these grass goldfish, in fact, yesterday, they were not as afraid as today.
In fact, I have also encountered grass goldfish in the past because of extreme fear of jumping a lot of tanks, not that they will not have psychological depression.
Another is why we raise fighting fish, often appear to jump the tank situation, that is because the water body raised them is too small, the water body is too small to do, there are some aquarists to raise peacock fish, find a very small mineral water bottle to breed, it just so happens that the peacock female individual is larger, they will be crazy in the bottle, it looks like extreme panic, sometimes directly jump the tank or dystocia, which is no different from being scared to death.
There are also some peacock females who are stimulated by the new water and do not give birth, but after giving birth, they either begin to eat small fish madly, or they will give birth prematurely or worship directly, all of which are inseparable from the extreme fear in the hearts of ornamental fish.
The psychological fear of ornamental fish seems to be some of the above reasons, but these factors will be related to the long-distance running of ornamental fish, improper operation of overheating and water, ornamental fish not adapting to water quality and cross infection and its own disease have a certain relationship, if these factors are all intertwined, ornamental fish will be long-term tank up, and then play.
We can only adjust appropriately for some of the more simple psychological fears, which factor is not right to adjust which factor is, or that sentence, the first three days of the ornamental fish into the tank, we can not only not feed, try not to turn on the lights, but also do not go to random fishing, alone drugging or various fright, these behaviors will aggravate the psychological depression of ornamental fish, and even lead to their death.
