On November 5, Qingting Network reported that with the end of the Connect 2021 conference, Meta's Horizon Workrooms also pushed the 1.1 update, one of the functions is to add ar tracking keyboard.
You may wonder, didn't you already support keyboard tracking before? So what are the features of the new version?
Yes, but not exactly.
As of this time, Horizon Workrooms' keyboard tracking is divided into two types: 1, AR tracking, and 2, perspective tracking.

AR keyboard tracking
The first is a compromise approach, which provides a perspective mode for keyboards that do not support keyboard tracking, directly through an area, showing the real environment picture, letting you see your hands and keyboard, and so on.
Perspective tracking
The second can directly in the VR view to reality a virtual keyboard, the position of the keycaps corresponds to a more accurate, can achieve without taking off the headset for typing input. This experience is good, but support is limited, and currently only supports: Logitech K830, as well as Apple MacBook Pro 13 (16 years and later), MacBook Pro 15, MacBook Pro 16, Apple Magic Keyboard, and M1 series Of MacBook Air and 13-inch Pro.
Perspective mode - Highlighted
This update is to add keycap highlighting in perspective mode, that is, the keycap text is highlighted digitally in the VR headset. This is good, but it can only be used in perspective mode. Currently, there are also unstable situations, such as the display layer is slightly higher than the actual position of the keyboard, resulting in visual aberration. As a result, the current keyboard tracking mode still has a lot of room for improvement.
