In Lushi County, in the mountains of western Henan Province, thirteen kinds of local specialties are combined into a banquet of "Thirteen Flowers" to entertain VIPs during the New Year's Festival or red and white weddings. However, before moving out of the mountains, the mountainous areas lacked materials and lived a hard life, and the sour yellow cabbage fermented by using cabbage and other vegetables was instead a "necessity" for the people in the mountainous areas.
At the beginning of 2016, the incidence of poverty in Lushi County was 18.9%, almost one out of five people was poor, and as many as 33,000 people were included in the poverty alleviation and relocation, ranking first in Henan Province. There is a local saying: "There are eighteen forks in a ditch, and there are families in the forks, as many as three or five households, and as few as one or two", which is a true portrayal of the living conditions of the poor people in the mountains before they moved.
The turnaround came in 2017. In order to help the poor people in the mountainous areas to "move the poor nest", "change the poor industry" and "uproot the poor roots", the XingxianLi relocation and resettlement community covering an area of 468 acres rose up in this year. After the completion in September 2018, Jia Yan'e and other relocated people moved in together. In these 83 residential buildings, more than 2,700 poor families and more than 11,000 people have been relocated. Xingxianli community has also become the only 10,000-person relocation community in Henan Province.
