At about 17:30 on March 29, 2021, the Xicheng Emergency Center Station of the Beijing Emergency Center received an instruction from the 120 Command and Dispatch Center: Beijing West Railway Station came by train from other provinces to a "special" patient who needed to be transferred to the Seventh Clinical Center of the PLA General Hospital. The so-called special is because the patient is not only a 2-year-old child, but also from 2 months to find a serious ventricular septal defect, and more critically, the child also needs to carry a ventilator.
Although there were medical staff accompanying the car along the way, when they arrived in Beijing, they still needed emergency personnel from the ambulance team to closely monitor the patient's condition. Carrying out this mission were Bai Hailong, Zheng Xiangyu and Wang Kaoyuan's car team. After arriving at the station platform, Dr. Bai inquired about the situation of the child, fortunately, from the beginning the child was lying on the spinal board, the ventilator and monitor were also tied to the board, but the oxygen cylinder caused difficulties in handling. Nurse Zheng Xiangyu simply carried the oxygen cylinder on his shoulder, and Dr. Bai and two emergency assistants coordinated with the station staff to transfer the child safely to the ambulance.
Along the way, the emergency personnel always monitored the child's condition, fortunately, his vital signs were stable, the crew did not slack off in the slightest, and finally transferred the child safely to the destination hospital for further treatment, hoping that the baby could recover as soon as possible and return to his hometown safely.
