After receiving the alarm, after several days of visiting and investigating, the police handling the case found that a slightly fat man of about 30 years old often haunted the electric vehicle parking shed in many communities in Jiangning at night, and drove away the electric vehicle parked in the roadside carport several times. Through the visit and investigation, a car repair master provided an important clue, saying that the man came to the repair shop several times to change the electric car lock. He also asked at the time, but the other party said that it was all "collected cars". Subsequently, after the deployment of control, the Jiangning police successfully arrested the suspect Li in a community in Jiangning.
After interrogation, Li confessed to the crime of stealing electric vehicles. According to Li Mou's account, he overheard someone say that he could also electrify electric vehicles without car keys, so he kept his eyes to learn. After learning this skill, Li carried a simple tool with him, specially selected to walk around the parking shed, waiting for the opportunity to act. Generally, Li mou is to break the lock of the electric vehicle, turn on the power supply and ride away, ride to the repair shop to replace the lock, and then go to the second-hand car dealership to sell the stolen electric vehicle at a price ranging from 400 to 600 yuan per vehicle. In a month's time, Li stole a total of 17 electric vehicles, and the proceeds from the sale of stolen goods were only more than 5,000 yuan.
At present, the Jiangning police have recovered all 17 stolen electric vehicles, and the return work is underway, while Li mou has been criminally detained by the police for suspected theft.
