The Amway Cup is about to start
The 2018 "Source of Interest Cup" World Women's Figure Billiards Championship will be held on March 8-11 at the Taipei Gymnasium. Today, the group stage signing table for the in-session stage has been released. China's Chen Siming, Pan Xiaoting, Fu Xiaofang, Han Yu and Liu Shasha directly advanced to the in-tournament.
As in previous years, this year's Amway Cup is still divided into eight groups, each of which consists of 5 direct qualifiers and 1 off-site qualifier. The 1st place in each group directly advances to the round of 16, and the 2nd and 3rd places in each group will compete for a place in the round of 16.
The grouping method of the Amway Cup makes the strength and weakness between the groups more clear, and several Chinese players and other masters including Kelly Fisher and Zhou Jieyu are not much pressure to advance in the group stage from the signing table analysis. Among them, the competition between the defending champion Chen Siming and the Filipino youngster Centeno, the master of this group, is relatively fierce, and Pan Xiaoting has won a better signing position.
