HBO's original Asian horror series Asian Weird Talk is back! According to the Bangkok Coconut Network, the second season of Folklore Thailand is directed by Sittisiri Mongkolsiri, a young Thai director whose work includes the 2019 blockbuster romantic horror film Krasue: Inhuman Kiss, which represented Thailand in the 2020 Oscar for Best International Film.

Sitisri directed Broker of Death in the second season of Asian Oddities, starring Jennis Oprasert and actress Natee Ngamnaewprom in BNK48. The story tells of a 45-year-old single father who runs a Buddhist shop, but his income is far from enough to pay for his daughter's high medical bills, so he earns more by acting as a "death broker" who trades corpses.
But the father was once asked to take away a corpse so that a wealthy politician could gain more power through a mysterious ritual, forcing him to choose between being haunted by ghosts or losing his income.
The first season of the mini-series Asian Strange Talk is based on folk superstitions and horror legends that have been circulating in various parts of Asia for a long time, and the first season was broadcast in 2018, covering stories from Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea and other places. The Thai story "Pob" is based on Thailand's notorious hungry ghost Boo as the protagonist, it is rumored that Poo will eat human intestines, and the Thai countryside will still be afraid of the hungry ghost Poo.

The second season of "Strange Talks about Asia" was once again coordinated by the well-known Singaporean producer Eric Khoo, continuing the model of the first episode and collecting folk tales from different parts of Asia. In addition to Sitisri, the other director lineup includes Liao Shihan in Taiwan, Erik Matti in the Philippines, Billy Christian in Indonesia, Nicole Midori Woodford in Singapore, and Seiko Matsuda in Japan. This is also the directorial debut of the famous Japanese actress Seiko Matsuda.

The second season of "Strange Talk in Asia" will premiere exclusively on HBO Go at 9 p.m. on November 14, updating the number of episodes every Sunday, and the first episode will be premiered by Liao Shihan's Taiwanese episode "Send Fire".
