Recently, RedCar invited Xu Chenchen, manager of Bydir's Central China Marketing Department, Xiangbei District, to be a guest of the "New Journey, New Power" 2017 Changsha Auto Show RedNet Media Interview Room, introducing the highlights of BYD's booth this year for Rednet and Moment Netizens, the following is the interview transcript.

Moment News: What are the highlights of BYD's booth at this year's Changsha Auto Show?

Xu Chenchen: This time, our Changsha International Auto Show mainly displayed the "Dynasty" series of models, including Qin, Tang, Song and Yuan, which included fuel models and new energy models. Among them is a Song MAX model that only came on the market in September this year, and the sales volume of this car has exceeded 35,000 units since its launch, and the supply is in short supply.

Moment News: What welfare policies does BYD bring to the audience?

Xu Chenchen: Since 2018, the purchase tax subsidy has declined, and our Song MAX model is now a car that is difficult to find, and we cannot guarantee that this part will be able to get a car years ago, which has the impact of purchase tax. We are now committing to our manufacturers to bear the excess costs incurred by our customers from January to March next year due to the impact of the purchase tax decline. The new energy model has a maximum subsidy of 100,000 yuan, and in terms of financial policy, we have brought benefits of 2 years and 0 interest rates. In terms of second-hand car replacement, all brands can give us a subsidy of 5,000 yuan for byking our BYD models.

Moment News: How much of the Hunan market accounts for in the BYD system?

Xu Chenchen: The Hunan market has always been a very important market for BYD, and everyone knows that BYD is a local brand in Hunan, and we attach great importance to the development of Hunan. At present, Hunan's sales account for about 4.5% of the country's sales. In the future, we will increase our efforts to consolidate the Hunan market, and the Hunan market will do a good job to drive the entire central market.

Moment News: What are BYD's new product plans for the upcoming 2018?

Xu Chenchen: 2018 is the year of our product iteration. Next year we will launch a brand new SUV, maybe you also saw pictures on the Internet a few days ago, very beautiful. At the same time, we will also bring 4 to 5 upgraded products, mainly based on new energy.

Moment News: New energy has always been BYD's strength, in the future development process, WILL BYD focus on the development of new energy vehicles or will new energy and traditional fuel vehicles develop simultaneously?

Xu Chenchen: New energy has always been the highlight of BYD, but in the future for a period of time we will still keep walking on two legs to keep new energy and fuel vehicles developing simultaneously.

Moment News: In the face of increasingly strong competition between independent brands, what measures does BYD take to enhance competitiveness?

Xu Chenchen: There are two main aspects, the first is platform-based car manufacturing, through the platform to reduce manufacturing costs. The second aspect is to gather global wisdom and forge international brands. Our current vehicle manufacturing team is built by an international team, such as the exterior design is designed by the former Audi designer Mr. Egger, and the chassis is handled by the former Mercedes-Benz chassis tuning experts.
