Currently, Houston is the general manager of the Knicks Development League's team (Westchester Knicks). Houston has been an executive at the Knicks since 2008 and also served as assistant to the Knicks' general manager before and during Phil Jackson's tenure.
According to sources, the Knicks had hoped to hire Grizzlies executive Churrick, but that is no longer possible. Churik said he's had a great time in Memphis, where he served as vice president of basketball strategy for the Grizzlies, and the team is on the rise.
