Shootings in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, police said or gang fire

According to Japanese media reports on November 3, at about 11:30 a.m. local time on the 3rd, a shooting incident occurred in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, and 2 men were injured and hospitalized. The local police preliminarily judged that the incident may be a gang fire.

According to the Amagasaki City Fire Department, the shooting occurred in a convenience store parking lot in downtown Amagasaki, near a residential area. After the incident, the fire department received a report from a nearby pedestrian, and the police said that "gunshots were heard and someone bled." Subsequently, rescue workers rushed to the scene and sent the 2 injured men to the hospital for treatment.

According to preliminary investigations, the two people who were shot were all in their 60s, one of them was shot in the leg and the other was shot in the left hand, although both were conscious at the time of the medical treatment, but the injuries seemed to be more serious.

According to investigators, two people, both around the age of 40, fled from the scene after committing the crime. Hyogo Prefectural police believe that the shooting is likely to be related to the local gang fire. At present, the police are investigating the whereabouts of the suspect.
