In the 1980s, in the industrial and transportation office of Rongqi Town (present-day Ronggui Town, Shunde), there sat a native deputy director named Pan Ning.
Due to the relationship between work and geographical location, Pan Ning often has the opportunity to travel to Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, and whenever he goes to these places, he wonders if there are any business opportunities that can contribute to the development of Shunde.
Before becoming deputy director, Pan Ning was just an ordinary person from a poor background and had no education, who entered the society prematurely and did not extinguish the fire in his heart, but perhaps he would not have thought that among the batch of successful entrepreneurs emerging in Shunde, there would be his name. But when he saw that the people of Shunde were very hungry for refrigerators, but could not afford to buy them, he realized that the opportunity had come.
So Pan Ning organized dozens of villagers and began the road of "making refrigerators" in a big way, but how could a person who had not graduated from primary school know the structure and principle of refrigerators. But Pan Ning, who had the brain and perseverance, immediately organized a group of slightly educated teams to learn technology in the big city, and under the soft and hard bubble, the head of the Beijing Snowflake Factory finally agreed to let Pan Ning's team learn.
Of course, the other party still "left a hand", after all, it is not a relative, so there is not much gain in a trip, but only slightly remember the operation process of the refrigerator. Then Pan Ning went to Xi'an, only to learn the refrigeration technology, half-aware, Pan Ning set up a team, after more than a year of assembly testing, in the rainstorm in Shunde, Pan Ning cried, because China's first double-door refrigerator was finally assembled.
In 1984, the government invested 90,000 yuan, the township collective enterprise Pearl River Refrigerator Factory was formally established, and Pan Ning also became the director of the factory without dispute, and the refrigerator brand is the "Rongsheng" that we are familiar with. But Panning did not know that his sad moment had been laid here, but he had the kung fu to think about this, thinking about the sales channels of the refrigerator.
Slowly, the performance and import gap is not large, the price of rongsheng refrigerator began to enter thousands of households in second- and third-tier cities, and by 1989, the sales volume of rongsheng refrigerators had reached 80 million yuan. In the years since, Rongsheng Refrigerator has always been the champion of domestic sales, and Panning's name has become a representative and role model for entrepreneurs.
In 1994, PanNing officially established Kelong Group and began to diversify its development path, involved in air conditioning, abrasives and other categories. At that time, the home appliance company in Hongguoguo relied on the advantage of price to defeat a number of multinational companies in the local market, but at this time, Pan Ning was in a good form, blatantly singing the opposite tone, bluntly saying that the core components of the current electrical appliances are imported, and all the energy should be focused on assembling a 100% Chinese-made refrigerator.
Under this impetus, Pan Ning has invested 1 billion yuan and established production bases at home and abroad, hoping to turn Chinese manufacturing into Chinese creation. However, just when Kelon Group became the number one in Asia in the field of home appliances, in 1998, Kelon Group announced that Pan Ning was no longer the chairman of the company and had no contact since then.
Everyone cares about the reason, but it is difficult to sort out for a while, until later we learned that as early as the time when Kelong was still a refrigerator factory, the local government had 80% of the equity, and in the Kelong era, the largest shareholder was still the Ronggui Town Government, and Pan Ning never had leadership in the face of this second that exhausted half of his life's work, so it was not so surprising that he was removed at the peak.
Of course, Penning did not explain all this too much, but left the phrase "never come back" when immigrating. But in fact, every year during the Qingming Dynasty, he would still return to his homeland to visit the tomb, and then quietly leave the country, with almost no contact with the Kelong people.
