After visiting these, return to the town of Sintra and after a simple lunch, begin your visit to the Sintra Royal Palace. Sintra Palace was built several times from the 14th to 18th centuries and is a mixture of Gothic, Moorish and Portuguese styles. The largest of these, the Swan Hall, is beautifully decorated, with 27 swans in very vivid shapes depicted on the ceiling. There is also a mermaid hall decorated with flower tiles, a Chinese hall with Chinese ivory towers, and a badge hall decorated with beautiful tile murals and noble insignia.
