It's official: Young Portuguese back Ruben Neves joined Wolves

On July 8, The Championship Wolves officially announced that they have signed 20-year-old Portuguese defender Ruben Neves from Porto for a record-breaking transfer fee, signing the two sides for five years. According to Sky Sports, the transfer fee is £15.8 million.

Neves made his Portuguese Premier League debut in Porto at the age of 17, becoming the youngest player in Porto's history to score goals. At the age of 18, he also became the youngest Portuguese player to make a Appearance in the Champions League and the youngest to make 50 appearances for Porto.

Neves was selected for the Portuguese national team and most recently represented the U21 national team at the Uefa Europa League in Poland. He also made two appearances for the senior national team.
