The long-form video industry has once again joined forces to speak out on copyright issues.
At 3:50 p.m. on May 28, the three long-form video platforms Tencent Video, Youku and iQiyi simultaneously issued a statement condemning Bilibili (b station) for infringement and piracy.
A day ago, "Friends Reunion Special" was launched on the Aiyouteng platform, and the six main creators were on the same stage again after a gap of 17 years, evoking countless people's youth memories. However, soon after the clip video was launched, there was an infringing pirated video on the b station. iQiyi said that it found that the complete positive film and a large number of jamming videos were launched on the B station platform.
At about 17:00 on the 28th, Nandu reporters searched on the B station with the keyword of "Friends Reunion Version", and the page can still see the existence of a 52-minute video with suspected infringement. But after re-searching at 18 o'clock, the video has been deleted.

As one of the rights and interests of the film in the Chinese mainland Internet information network, Aiyouteng said that it strongly condemns the lack of respect for intellectual property rights and open piracy, and calls on the industry and society to jointly resist this infringement.
Tencent Video said that this move seriously damaged the legitimate rights and interests of creators and copyright owners. Youku said that on June 1, the newly revised Copyright Law will be implemented, after the film and television industry has issued two joint statements on the protection of copyright, calling on all sectors of society to jointly maintain a healthy copyright environment and achieve the long-term development of the entire industry.
In response to this matter, nandu reporter asked about the b station, the relevant staff said that they first understand the situation internally, and if there is a response, they will give feedback at the first time.
Nandu reporter previously reported that one of the reasons why the film and television industry is difficult to tolerate short video infringement is that short videos may play an obvious alternative role in the presentation of film and television dramas - because the audience chases the drama is the essence of the drama conflict, and after the short video "spoiler" suspense in advance, it is difficult to attract users to watch on the long video platform, thus damaging the investment and traffic of the platform. In the long run, it will hit the enthusiasm of content creation in the film and television industry.
The person in charge of the long video platform told Nandu reporter that the pressure of the platform to encounter short video piracy infringement has reached a point where it is difficult to ignore. In order to strengthen copyright protection, the platform will sort out all aspects of copyright protection, including upstream copyright acquisition, the use of information technology to collect evidence, etc., and then there will be substantial measures to launch.
In order to facilitate the use of secondary creators, Nandu reporter noted that the multi-parent video platform said that it would explore the creation of a copyright open platform.
