There are many places in Xiangxi named after the word "ghost", but when you come to the Ghost Creek Ecological Park in Morong Town, Guzhang County, you will feel that this place is aptly named.
After a few minutes of walking through the village and on a path for only one person, an all-timber visitor reception center appears in front of you, where the babbling brook is flowing quietly, sparkling in the sun, and from time to time, a few large white geese play with the green water, full of poetry. Crossing the covered bridge, that is, officially entering the scenic spot, along the stream, the stream meanders, ups and downs, the spring water roars.
The magic of nature has created a unique geographical landscape here, step by step, every stop will receive beautiful scenery photos. In the core area of Ghost Creek, through the "time and space tunnel" of nearly 300 million years, you can get a glimpse of the past and present lives of the "Ghost Creek Secret Realm". It's beautiful all the way, but it's not hard to walk. There was only one place, where hundreds of steps needed to be climbed, and then suddenly the eyes opened up, and the big characters of "Heavenly Blessing Gate" were reflected in front of me. The stream pierces through the hole, and under the huge drop, it forms a waterfall, such as a silk curtain and a pearl. Looking for mountain crabs in the impact zone formed below the waterfall must be the most innocent and fun childhood activity.
Stepping up the creek, you will see another kind of paradise- across the arch bridge across the stream, where fish are frolicking in the water, and water wheels creaking on the shore with the help of the stream. On the other side of the river are bamboo-built homestays, staggered and lined up, waiting for people with connections. In it, the small bridge and flowing water are like a complete ink splash landscape painting.
Cliff viewing, creek rock carvings, there are rope nails for tourists to climb on the edge of the waterfall, Shuo Creek, through the forest, water play... Waterfalls, rocks, and caves are deep, and all the way is endless beauty. Here, every rock, every stream of water, may tell a story. Between watching and listening, there are excitements, regrets, climaxes, and lows. In the end, you have to muster up enough courage to overcome the difficulties and pay enough patience to enjoy the most precious beauty.
