1、作為副詞來講，deep和deeply都有“深深地，深切地”的意思。但deep常用來表示具體的深度，如：sink deep、dig deep、study deep into the night、study deep into the subject 等。而deeply常用于引喻的場合，有時等于“程度上深深地，非常地，強烈地”的意思，如：
The water is very deep and mysterious-looking.水看上去幽深叵測。
