How to Root Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Official Firmware

Earlier today we have covered that Samsung has released Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware for Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100.

If you want to have root access to your tablet then good news for you as you can now root your Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Firmware.

Before you proceed with guide below, make sure:

1.You have installed your Galaxy Tab 2 P5100 USB drivers on your PC.

2.You need to enable USB debugging mode which is deactivated by default.

3.You tablet should have 70-80% charge remaining.

4.Backup your important data like Call logs, SMS and other data in stored in phone memory so in case if anything goes wrong, your data is not hurt.

5.The update is only meant for Galaxy Tab 2 P5100, so don’t try it on other variants.

How to Root Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Firmware

Step 1) DownloadCF-Auto-Root for Galaxy Tab 2 P5100.

Step 2) DownloadODIN v3.07.

Step 3) Turn OFF your mobile and go to Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume UP + Power button until you see Android logo with triangles on screen.

Step 4) Now open ODIN on your PC and connect your Galaxy Tab 2 P5100 to your computer.

Step 5) Once your phone is successfully connected to your PC, the ID:COM box on ODIN will turn yellow and will show the COM port number.

Step 6) Select the downloaded file to install by following below steps:

?Click on PDA and select CF-Auto-Root-espresso1orf-espresso1orfxx-gtp5100.tar.md5 file.

Step 7) Make sure the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time options are checked in ODIN.

Step 8) Click on Start button in ODIN window to start the installation process. The process will take few minutes to complete.

Step 9) When the installation is completed, your phone will restart.

That’s it. You have successfully rooted your Galaxy Tab 2 P5100 on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean firmware.

非P5100請慎重嘗試。

Step 1) 下載下傳CF-Auto-Root for Galaxy Tab 2 P5100. （http://download.chainfire.eu/240/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-espresso10rf-espresso10rfxx-gtp5100.zip） Step 2) 下載下傳ODIN v3.07. （http://www.mediafire.com/?7v7zor9d379emeg）

Step 3) 關機，長按電源鍵和音量增加鍵進入Download模式

Step 4) 打開ODIN，将平闆連接配接至電腦

Step 5)一旦平闆成功連接配接，ODIN的第一個格子會變藍（原文有誤，說的是變黃）

Step 6) 在PDA選項打勾，并選擇CF-Auto-Root-espresso1orf-espresso1orfxx-gtp5100.tar.md5檔案

Step 7) 確定 Auto Reboot 和 F.Reset Time 選項被勾選

Step 8) 點選Start開始ROOT，可能持續幾分鐘（其實1分鐘不到）

Step 9) 成功後自動重新開機.

然後就搞定了！！！！
