Compared to Melbourne, Shanghai is a very busy city with many high-rise buildings.
Therefore, if you are only visiting Shanghai, taking the subway is much more convenient than driving a car or taking a taxi.
In my 20s, I rode a bicycle to the CBD, Nanjing Road because only buses were available at that time.
Now, the subway makes it easy to get from my home in Shanghai to places like the Jing'an Temple, ChangShou Road, and Lujiazui -one of the most developed areas in Shanghai.
While waiting for a friend outside Changshou Road station,my husband and I decided to go for a walk and discovered Changshou Park nearby.
Why not go for a visit to the park?
I was amazed by the beauty of Changshou Park, especially the trees.
Although I was born in Shanghai and have been living in the city for almost 35 years, I had lost interest in the scenery.
Every year when I visit Shanghai, I only go shopping and didn't feel motivated to visit the parks.
However, this year, things have changed, and I feel more connected to nature.
According to the law of attraction, we are attracted to who we are.
The world is so big, and no matter whether we live in Shanghai or Melbourne， if we focus on the beauty of the city with gratitude in mind, we will be happier.
If we are disconnected from ourselves, we will complain, and be dissatisfied with the city.
It's not the city's problem, it's our mind.
While walking at Changshou Park, I exercised, was mindful, and savoured the moment, and appreciated the lovely spring trees and flowers.
As my inner world changes, and I see the beauty in myself, I find more attractiveness in the outside world.
Therefore, it doesn't matter where we live, our perspective matters.
If we want to live a happy and fulfilled life, we must learn to become our true selves with kindness, curiosity, and compassion.
Then, we will see beauty everywhere, and an amazing world will appear before our eyes.
