（138）Thoughts
A young Marine and his commanding officer board train headed through the mountains of Switzerland. They can find no place to sit except for two seats right across the aisle from a young woman and her grandmother.
After a while, it is obvious that the young woman and the young soldier are interested in each other because they are giving each other“looks”. Soon the train passes into a tunnel and it is pitch black .
There is a sound of the smack of a kiss followed by the sound of the smack of a slap.
When the train appeared from the tunnel, the four sit there without saying a word.
The grandmother is thinking to herself:“It was very brash for that young soldier to kiss my granddaughter, but I' m glad she slapped him.”
The commanding officer is sitting there thinking: “I didn’t know the young Marine was brave enough to kiss the girl,but I sure wish she hadn’ t missed him when she slapped and hit me!”
The young woman was sitting and thinking: “I'm glad the soldier kissed me,but I wish my grandmother had not slapped him!”
The young Marine sat there with a satisfied smile on his face. He thought to himself: “Life is good. When does a fellow have the chance to kiss a beautiful girl and slap his commanding officer all at the same time!”
思 想
一個年輕的海軍士兵和他的指揮官上了一列火車，火車在瑞士的山巒間行駛。他們沒有什麼地方可坐，隻有在一個姑娘和她的奶奶對面隔着走廊有兩個位子。
過了一會兒，那個姑娘和年輕士兵很顯然彼此很感興趣，因為他們正在頻送秋波。很快火車進了一個隧道，車廂裡一團漆黑。
忽然傳來了一聲很響的親吻的聲音，緊接着是一聲打人耳光的聲音。當火車又從隧道裡出來時，這四個人坐在那裡，都是一言不發。
那位做奶奶的心裡想：“那個小兵敢親我的孫女，真是無恥，不過我很高興她打了他一記耳光。”
指揮官坐在那裡想：“我還真不知道這個小兵膽敢親那姑娘一下，不過我真的希望剛才她沒有打錯了，反而打到了我的臉上！”
姑娘坐在那裡想：“我很高興那位士兵吻了我，但我甯願我奶奶沒有打他耳光！”
那個年輕士兵坐在那裡，臉上帶着滿足的微笑。他心裡想：“生活真美好。一個人既有機會親吻一位漂亮姑娘，又能同時打他的指揮官一記耳光！”
