In China, Chen Jin, as a representative, has studied the risk, organization, capability and evaluation criteria of the innovation process of complex product systems.

4.競争戰略與創新協調。複雜産品系統的競争戰略關注點不再是像普通大規模産品那樣關注生産的規模效應,而是産品/系統的設計和研發。

5.市場特性。複雜産品系統的高技術、大投入等特征使得能夠提供複雜産品系統的內建制造廠商在整個行業中相對較少決定了該産品行業市場結構的特點,複雜産品系統所處的行業結構一般多為寡頭市場,“雙頭壟斷結構”是複雜産品系統最為典型的市場特征。

After the new product is developed, there is also a process of expanding reproduction. Due to the high degree of system integration of complex product system, which is composed of many modules and components, its successful development can promote the development of other related industries, and then drive the development of other ordinary large-scale manufacturing products.

3. Innovation process (research and design). The innovation of complex product systems does not follow the innovation life cycle law of general products described by Utterbach. The innovation process of complex product systems requires the high degree of user involvement.

4. Coordination of competitive strategy and innovation. The focus of the competitive strategy of complex product systems is no longer on the scale effect of production as common large-scale products, but on the design and development of products/systems.

5. Market characteristics. The characteristics of complex product systems such as high technology and large investment make the integrated manufacturers that can provide complex product systems relatively few in the whole industry, which determines the characteristics of the market structure of the product industry. The industry structure of complex product systems is generally an oligopoly market, and the "duopoly structure" is the most typical market feature of complex product systems.
