《Kenny's Adventure》肯尼的探險
有一年新年的時候，女兒幼稚園老師留了一項作業，去買一份新年裝飾物，還要讓孩子自己使用現金購買，并且要與攤主拍照留念。那一次是孩子爸爸帶着孩子去的，作業完成得倒是還算順利。但是聽孩子爸爸回來訴說了攤主的無奈，周末兩天不知道為什麼，好多個帶着孩子拿着一百塊來買新年裝飾物的，買的東西也就幾塊錢，還得給孩子找零錢，還得跟孩子拍照，東西沒賣出去多少，市場裡的商戶倒是因為找零錢問候個遍。
手機支付給我們的生活帶來的便利的同時，也讓新一代的孩子們逐漸地忘記了貨币的樣子。但凡能有機會讓孩子單獨出門購物，我還是挺願意讓她使用現金的，即使電子支付再友善，也要記住我們國家法定貨币的樣子。
Kenny was going on an adventure. Where was he going? He was going to the grocery store!
肯尼打算要來一場探險。他打算要去哪裡呢？他打算要去趟雜貨店。
He was going to get some groveries, all my himself.
他打算去雜貨店裡買東西，是的，他自己去。
Kenny's mom gave him a list and some money. "You need to get bread, mild and butter," she told him. "And be sure to use the crosswalk and to look both ways when crossing the street."
肯尼的媽媽給了他一張清單和一些錢。“你要買一些面包，牛奶和黃油回來。”媽媽再三叮囑他“過馬路的時候一定要走人行橫道，并且要确定兩邊都是安全的才能過去。”
Kenny walked to the crosswalk. He looked both ways carefully. Then, he looked again, just to be sure there were no cars coming. Finally, he crossed the street and went into the store.
肯尼走了人行橫道。他小心翼翼地左右張望着。然後他又看了一遍，确定兩邊都沒有車子開過來，最後，他才小心地穿過馬路來到了商店裡。
Kenny gave the grocery list to the clerk. "I want bread, mild and butter," he told the clerk. "Here is the money."
肯尼把購物清單交給店員：“我想要買一些面包，牛奶和黃油。”他還遞給店員一些錢：“這是買東西的錢。”
The clerk put the things in a bag and handed it to Kenny, with some change. Kenny was excited!
店員把肯尼需要買的東西放進一個袋子裡遞給他，還找給他一些零錢。肯尼很高興。
He walked back safely and made his way home. He had had a wonderful adventure!
最後肯定安全地回到了家。這真是一次美好的探險旅程。
