Problem/Symptoms

There was a SQL error while running some reports on Monitor Solution.

Description: Unexpected exception encountered while running a query.Report "Processor Utilization - Windows" Processor Utilization - Windows. ( Unhandled exception.  Type=Altiris.NS.StandardItems.Query.AeXSqlException Msg=Sql error in query. Error: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: ????? datetime ??????Sql CommandText:     -- MAX ROWCOUNT     SET ROWCOUNT 50000     --     exec pr_MonitorUniversalMetricReportSummary_v3   @pTableName = 'MonitorMetricLog',   @pSolutionName = 'Altiris Monitor Pack for Servers',   @pReportName = 'Processor Utilization',   @pOSName = 'Windows',   @pCollection = 'All Windows Computers with Monitor Agent installed

Environment

Notification Server 6.0 SP3 R6

Simplified Chinese Windows 2003

Simplified Chinese SQL 2000 or 2005

Monitor Solution 6.0.1337

Monitor Solution for Servers 6.0.2066      

Report Pack for Monitor Solution for Servers 6.0.1112      

Cause

The cause for this issue is still under investigation.

Resolution

Symantec is working towards a resolution and will update this article when a resolution is reached.

最近在客戶測試Monitor 也遇到了這個問題，回來分析了一下，覺得應該是資料庫時間格式的問題， 在伺服器時間格式改成老美的，然後在資料庫中運作下面語句：

ALTER LOGIN [SQLLoginHere]

WITH DEFAULT_LANGUAGE = us_english

執行，OK ，問題解決。

不過Monitor 6 現成的監控包比較少，7的就豐富很多，

最近新出的SP3  新增了 WS-MAN metric ，比較有意義的一個測量手段。
